Heavy fault · 5 points
A passenger urges the driver to go much faster. How does the code treat urging or challenging a driver to drive excessively fast?
The answer
C — It is forbidden, and is a fourth-degree offence
Why
Art. 10.4 forbids urging or challenging a driver to drive excessively fast, and the decree grading traffic offences lists it as a fourth-degree offence.
Why not
- A The prohibition is on the urging itself and does not wait for a result.
- B The article is addressed to anyone, not only to the driver.
- D The decree grading traffic offences places it in the fourth degree, the most serious.
